3 reasons you’re not losing fat

You already know that you can’t out train a bad diet. That’s why you need a recipe, a plan to dice up your abs so you’ll feel confident to be seen on the beach. And it’s MORE than just a workout plan.

If you just “workout”, you could actually increase your cortisol, which will force your body to store more fat. You don’t want that.

You see it all the time. People work their butts off (figuratively that is, because at the end of the day their flabby butt is still there). They train and wonder ‘why am I not getting lean?’

Let me tell you why…three reasons:

#1 Backward Body Composition

People just like you and I trade fat for muscle as we age. This tanks our metabolism because our muscle is metabolically active while fat is dead ugly weight.

Unfortunately, it’s easier to lose muscle than it is to lose fat. Our bodies PREFER to use lean muscle tissue for energy over our belly fat.

But with a strategic combination of high intensity interval training, strength training and a nutrition plan that works synergistically with these workouts, you can actually force your body to harness belly fat as energy buy putting your metabolism into Afterburn.

#2 Hormone Havoc

Fat storing hormones like cortisol wreak havoc with belly fat and in today’s high stress world this hormone is at an all time high. Hormones that can promote fat burning like growth hormone and testosterone (women should have a healthy level of testosterone as well) decline with age but can be naturally boosted with the right kind of exercise. (This does NOT include things like running on the treadmill that actually increase fat storing hormones like cortisol.)

#3 Poor Eating

No matter what your exercise plan, if you’re not backing it up with solid nutritionally dense food, your plan will fail. And when it comes to eating, failing to plan is planning to fail, especially when your diet is too restrictive.

That’s why my friend, Shawna K who is more ripped and in better shape than most 20-year olds (she’s 50!), included her Challenge Fat Loss Nutrition Tactics along with her Challenge Fat Loss program that uses a brand NEW M2A method.

Other diet plans are too restrictive and don’t allow any wiggle room. Now when you use a combination Shawna’s workouts that manipulate your hormones to promote fat loss and her nutrition tactics to speed up your metabolism, you’ll see rapid results, no matter your age – Shawna is living proof.

Her workouts are only 20 minutes long, which is why they work so well. They promote the “good” hormones, while reducing the fat-storing hormones like cortisol because the workouts are so short.

However, they STILL use a combination of high intensity interval training and strength training. How is this possible? It’s because she uses M2A, which is a new science-based approach that allows you to work out in only 20 minutes but still getting results as if you worked out for 60 minutes.

When you team up M2A (Muscle Metabolism Acceleration) along with her nutrition tactics, you’re in for a total body transformation.

But it won’t be easy…

This is a workout program that will challenge you every step of the way, but in progressive ways. Best of all Shawna is going to be there with you through every exercise, every set, and ever rep right there with you to motivate, coach and guild you along.

You’ll make small manageable changes to your eating plan and you’ll use the M2A system to build lean, athletic muscle and naturally increase fat burning hormones like GH and testosterone and reduce fat storing hormones like cortisol…

… in only 20 minutes per workout!

It’s scientifically based and proven. And this week, you can get all of Shawna’s M2A workouts and her Challenge Fat Loss Nutrition Tactics for half off.

World's Toughest Fat Loss Workout?

 Hey Everyone

Rafael here and I have a cool guest post today for you

By Craig Ballantyne, CTT
Certified Turbulence Trainer

"Soul destroying"

"Toughest. Workout. Ever."

"The most challenging workout so far. Workout A almost put
me on the floor"

Those are just a few of the comments about the NEW Extreme
Fat Loss workout from Turbulence Training.

Listen, you already know that it takes advanced measures to
get advanced results.

You're not a beginner, but you want advanced body-ripped
results, and you're will to do whatever it takes.

And with 2K13 you're going to find out exactly what that
feels like - both the grueling training methods, and even
better, the extreme fat burning results that come with it.

You see, you're getting a program that includes three totally
exhausting workouts - training sessions that were modeled
around the shocking results of an extreme 2012 workout study
and my "All Day Workout" training challenges.

In that extreme workout study, researchers found that short,
intense bodyweight workouts (just 4 minutes long) got better
fitness and muscle endurance results than slow cardio.

And here's the kicker...the crazy subjects in this experiment
actually ENJOYED the extreme workouts more than slow cardio.

So if that sounds like you, then you're going to LOVE the
new TT Extreme program.

You're getting a proven way to burn fat in less time AND have
fun doing it.

In addition, you'll also get a NEW version of the most
popular TT workout of 2012 - The Thermogenic 30 fat loss
workout. In this 30 minute session you'll be sweating buckets
and burning fat fast...all thanks to the use of the Ultimate
Fat Loss Key training system.

Here's what you can expect in terms of results.

Since it's the most extreme fat loss program you've ever
done, it will also give you the most extreme fat loss
results you've ever achieved.

Now I have to warn you ... these workouts are NOT for beginners.

On the other hand, if you've been training for a while now,
then there's ZERO reason why you shouldn't be using 2K13 to
shred fat and build lean, sexy muscle fast. It's that simple.

So get ready to torch your belly fat using the optimal
combination of Metabolic Resistance Training, Metabolic
Conditioning and Metabolic Finishers, including the Extreme
Metabolic Monster in Workout C that might have you on your
knees after just one round.

I threw ALL my weapons of fat destruction into this program,
and it's the most extreme TT program to date.

What Is In Your Food

Happy Monday I hope you got an awesome weekend.... I just finished reading the results from everyone finishing week 2 of the Unwrap a new you in 8 weeks plan. 2 more 5lbs losers...and 3 people lost 3 more pounds...BOOM!!! People...at this rate how can they NOT unwrap a new body on Christmas day... I hope you are getting the results you are looking for, and if you are not...maybe it's time to take action. On to WHAT'S IN YOUR FOOD... I always tend to teach you about carbs, protein and fat...how much you should have...but I don't think I have touched on this subject enough What is actually in the food Garden burgers. Power bars. Protein brownies. Bottled water that makes you thin, young and smart. And we used to wonder what they put in Pop Rocks... These days it’s hard for even die-hard foodies to know what they’re eating or drinking. That’s because food has changed from something that didn’t need a modifier – if it walked, swam, flew or grew out of the ground, it was food – to something that stopped off at Mr. Burns’ nuclear plant on the way to your plate. Did you know that 70% of the Ground Beef in the USA has pink slime...and did you know that all of that pink slime is treated with AMMONIA?

Pink Slime - 70% of America's Beef is Treated with Ammonia

The #1 reason people FAIL to lose weight

Hey Everyone

Rafael Moret here from the South Florida Fitness Boot Camp program and I have a cool post for you

The #1 reason people FAIL to lose weight:

Let me ask you this:  If every day you stepped on the scale and saw a
lower number, and every week you looked in the mirror to see visually
noticeable results, would you continue doing what you are doing?

Let me answer that for you.  YES, you would.

It doesn't matter how "hard" what you're doing is, you'd still
continue to do it.

In fact, you'd probably work out even more and tighten up your diet
even more as a result of the RESULTS you're experiencing.

Results are motivating.  If fact, there's nothing more motivating.

Nothing.

And here's another reality:  If you're NOT experiencing results,
you will never continue to put in the hard work and effort
necessary to change your body.

Unfortunately, hard work and effort don't necessarily equate to
results.  In fact, there are a ton of people out there working
hard, and getting nowhere.

Why?  Because there's a ton of information out there that simply
does NOT work for fat loss, while still requiring a ton of hard work
and sacrifice.

For example, you could "diet" and choose the wrong foods and watch
your weight stand at a standstill.

You could perform hours of slow-go cardio every week only to watch
the scale read the same number week after week.

You could starve yourself, royally screw your metabolism, and even
GAIN weight over time as a result.

And then what happens?  You quit, that's what.

And I don't BLAME you.  Why would you ever continue to sacrifice
without being rewarded?

I wouldn't, and you shouldn't.

So take a good hard look at what you're doing and think about this:
What's fueling your workouts?  What's fueling your desire to eat
healthy and consume fewer calories?

If results aren't your fuel, you're going to give up and
quit...sooner rather than later.  Proof?  Let your car run out of
fuel and see what happens.

That's right, it doesn't go.

The one solitary thing that fuels your desire to "stay on the
wagon" is results.  And that's what this newsletter is here for:
to give you strategies and information that actually work, so you
can continue moving forward toward your goals, without wasting
your time.

Now, one of the most important things you can do to ensure your
"diet" isn't wasting your time is to learn exactly which foods to
eat to create a fat-burning metabolism.  Fortunately, my buddy Kyle
lists a bunch of the best fat-burning foods at the link below.
Yes, FOODS that actually help you burn fat.  Here they are:

Why Can't I lose weight

Hey South Florida Bootcampers

I have a Good one for you today:

If you can't lose weight, there are specific reasons for this that you have more control over than you think.

You're not strength training. Often, people who can't lose weight don't do any strength training. The more lean, sleek muscle you have, the faster your resting metabolism, because muscle is the body's most metabolically active tissue.

You're not exercising in a waythat forces the body to adapt. The adaptive response requires energy; it raises your body's energy needs. The body will then dig into stored fat for this energy.
If you've been strength training and the weight hasn't been coming off, it's because you're not doing much more than merely going through the motions.
There's the story of a heavy-set woman who was doing lat pull-downs with 70 pounds. A trainer waltzed over, knelt beside her, said "Hi" with a smile, then moved the machine's pin to the 100 pound mark.
The woman's mouth fell open, but the trainer said, "You're going to do 100 pounds for your next set, and eight times."
"I can't do 100 pounds!"
"Oh yes you can. Trust me. You're going to complete eight reps."
The woman said her goal was to lose weight, but nothing was happening despite regular workouts. She began pulling down the bar, and it wasn't easy. She had to fight her way to the eighth rep, but she completed eight full repetitions.
The trainer said, "Now that's the way every set should feel. Apply this effort level to all of your sets for every exercise. You won't lose weight if you keep doing something your body is efficient at. You must do something that forces you to struggle. Struggling begets weight loss."
A month later the woman reported having dropped an entire dress size.
Moral of this true story: Exercises that require struggling will burn fat and cause weight loss, especially when coupled with sensible eating.

You eat mindlessly. Every little sample and nugget counts. One tablespoon of gravy is 100 calories. A "little bit here and there" adds up. Avoid eating due to cues not related to sustenance, such as watching TV.
You drink diet sodas. Artificial sweeteners often trigger hunger.
Too many processed foods. These trigger hunger, and too much white sugar and high fructose corn syrup will get stored as fat.
You skip breakfast. Breakfast, even if it's only a cup of yogurt, tends to tame later-day appetite. Skipping it can make you feel entitled to overeat later on.
You don't do cardio. It's amazing how many people, who don't do cardio, wonder why they can't lose weight. Taking care of two preschoolers or pulling weeds does not replace structured cardiovascular exercise.

You hold onto the treadmill. This has got to be one of the most weight-loss-sabotaging habits out there. The body has absolutely no reason to burn more fat in response to make-believe walking.
Instead, pump the arms and get winded to force your body to adapt. Remember, the body won't adapt to something that it's very efficient at doing (e.g., walking while holding onto something for support).

You don't do HIIT: highintensity interval training. This form of cardio blasts fat.

Inconsistent exercise habits. Weight loss won't go hard and deep if your workouts are not consistent. Even if you're doing everything right in the gym, consistency is still very important.

Poor sleeping habits. Research shows that under six hours of sleep and over nine are strongly linked to excess body fat.

Too much daytime napping. Excessive inertia means a slowed metabolism to accommodate it.
Before you blame your parents and grandparents for having "the wrong genes," review your lifestyle habits to find out what can be modified to promote fat loss. For more details on changes you can make to boost weight loss, call us today.

Lap-Band,oBand, Gastric bypass vs. Bootcamp

Years ago Lap-Band surgery cost roughly around $25,000. Today you can have surgery for $4000 – $7000.
But really
The lap band surgery may cost anywhere from $17,000 to $30,000. The cost includes pre-op tests, surgeon fees, hospital charges. There may be additional charges added for follow up care.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website presented a study which shows the estimated cost of obesity, including direct (preventative, diagnostic and treatment services related to obesity) and indirect (income lost, decreased productivity, restricted activity, absenteeism and bed days) medical costs. In 1998 alone, total adult medical expenditures attributable to overweight and obesity was estimated at $51.5 billion, including out-of-pocket medical expenses, private insurance, Medicaid and Medicare. According to a more recent study (by RTI International, the Agency for Healthcare Research, and Quality and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention) the annual medical expenditures attributable to obesity have increased significantly over the past decade to approximately $147 billion per year. An obese person spends approximately $1,429 in medical costs - 42% more than a person of normal weight.
According to the June 2005 online version of the Journal Health Affairs, the cost of obesity can add up to $15,568 a year, including medications and food.   WEIGHT-RELATED COSTS   This includes: Medical/Drug costs $5,965 Out of Pocket Healthcare Expenses $2,182 Employment Inactivity Costs $900 Commercial Weight loss Programs $600 Prescription Co-Pays $600 Grocery and Dining Costs $5,321
Total $15,568
The cost of gastric bypass ranges from $18,000 to $35,000, depending on where you live. The good news is that, increasingly, insurance providers (including Medicare and, in some states, Medicaid) are offering gastric bypass surgery insurance that covers all or part of the gastric bypass cost if your doctor establishes medical necessity and if you meet the National Institutes of Health insurance requirements.

Gastric Bypass Surgery Cost Breakdown

The cost of gastric bypass surgery comprises:
  • Anesthesia fees
  • The hospital facility fee
  • The surgeon's fee
  • Pre-op lab and X-ray fees
  • Some period of time after surgery for post-operative care (typically 90 days)
Factors not included in the cost of gastric bypass:
  • Post-surgery behavior, exercise and diet counseling, including the cost of vitamins and supplements.
LAP-BAND®
  • low risk
  • minimally invasive
  • reversible
  • adjustable
  • no hospitalization
  • no cutting
  • no malabsorption
  • no unhealthy muscle wasting
  • no dumping
  • no diarrhea
  • no osteoporosis
REALLY? (This is my own input)<<<<< BYPASS
  • high risk
  • invasive
  • irreversible
  • permanent, non adjustable changes in anatomy
  • 2-3 days hospitalization
  • intestines cut and rearranged
  • chronic malabsorption
  • unhealthy muscle wasting
  • dumping
  • diarrhea
  • osteoporosis
(this is on their own site)
While surgeons have reported that gastric bypass yields a faster pace of weight loss in the first year, the long-term results of gastric bypass and LAP-BAND® are practically the same. The real difference is in the shorter-term results. Whereas gastric bypass is far more invasive and requires a longer recovery time, LAP-BAND® is the minimally invasive, safer and more controlled surgical option.
Now after eading all that
Let me ask you some logical questions..
Which one of these helps with your cholesterol?
Which one of these helps with your diabetes ?
Which one of these helps with your stess and hyper tention?
Which one of these will help you get stronger?
Less winded when you go up the stairs?
Which one shows you how to eat? What to eat? When to eat? To Support Your Goal
Which one will give you long, lean, lean muscle tissue?
Why do I push Boot Camp or my program?
Because we do give you all those things!!
Exercise, specially the way we do it, will help with:
It can lower the risk of heart attack, stroke, hypertension, diabetes, obesity, depression, dementia, osteoporosis, gallstones, diverticulitis, falls, erectile dysfunction, peripheral vascular disease and 12 kinds of cancer.
But what if you already have one of these conditions? Or an ailment like rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, congestive heart failure or osteoarthritis? How can you exercise if you’re always tired or in pain or have trouble breathing? Can exercise really help?

Can exercise really help?
You bet it can. Marilyn Moffat, a professor of physical therapy at New York University and co-author with Carole B. Lewis of “Age-Defying Fitness” (Peachtree, 2006), conducts workshops for physical therapists around the country and abroad, demonstrating how people with chronic health problems can improve their health and quality of life by learning how to exercise safely. “The data show that regular moderate exercise increases your ability to battle the effects of disease,” Dr. Moffat said in an interview. “It has a positive effect on both physical and mental well-being. The goal is to do as much physical activity as your body lets you do, and rest when you need to rest.”
NO ONE CAN DENY THIS!!!
